Creating a living space that embodies meaning, purpose, and functionality is at the heart of what I do. I call this process my S.O.S method.
Before we can begin to organize a space in your home, we must simplify the area. Our goal is to organize for the space you have - not for the items you own. Together we begin with identifying the purpose of your living space. Once we understand its purpose we evaluate each item and decide whether it belongs in this area, gets moved to a different area, or gets donated. This can be challenging, especially when items are tied to cherished memories or carry emotional weight. I’m here to support you in this decision-making process.
To make it easier I introduce a ‘wait and see’ box for items you’re uncertain about. Sometimes placing something out of sight and giving it a little extra time reveals whether an item should stay or go and makes the decision easier. An additional aspect of my support involves assisting with responsible donation or recycling options. This may come through local charities, missions, or even other family members. To further encourage you, I offer one full carload of donations with each of my services. At the end of this important first step, we have assigned purpose to your space, streamlined your belongings, and given ourselves a comprehensive overview for the next step. Before moving on, I refresh the area with a quick cleaning.

Organizing is where the fun begins! I start by sorting and categorizing everything to develop a sense of order. During this step, I explore potential zones within the area we're addressing. For instance, in a pantry, we might designate a shelf as the 'breakfast zone' with categories like hot cereal, cold cereal, and breakfast bars. This approach aids in determining the most efficient product based on available space.
With countless organizing options on the market, my experience becomes invaluable by identifying the perfect tool for the task. Collaborating with you to find creative, time-saving solutions - tailored to your unique needs - ensures a system that is easily maintained. As crazy as it sounds, I want to work myself out of a job by finding solutions designed with your future success in mind.
